Education where it’s needed most
In Kathmandu, families of migrant workers often can’t afford private school, while state-run schools are overcrowded and underfunded. For their children, a quality education can feel permanently out of reach.
The Asha Vidhyashram School exists for exactly these children. Founded in 1995 and run by HOPE worldwide Nepal, it serves 125 students from nursery through Year 5 — completely free. Every child receives uniforms, books, learning materials, nutritious meals, and the kind of care that makes school a safe place to grow.
HOPE worldwide Nepal also works in partnership with the U.S. Embassy in Kathmandu. That is not our credential, it is theirs, and it is part of why we chose them: an organisation the U.S. mission is willing to work alongside has already been examined by people with more resources than we have.
